The HVIAC acknowledged Kemsley and Avery Johnson for making the All-Conference team before the game. Post-game, Coach Grace Croley was named “Coach of the Year,” Kemsley was given the “Rookie of the Year” title and Roth was honored as the “Most Valuable Player” of the match.

“We played really well as a team and everyone was there for each other on the court,” said freshman Callie Donaghue. “I’m excited for next year because most of our players are coming back so we’ll already have chemistry. Freshmen coming in will add to that.”

The team finished with 12 wins and six losses overall. This is the most wins by any team at King’s since the athletic program began in 2012.

The Lady Lions were the second seed going into the tournament. Pratt Institute, the number one seed, dropped out of the championships to play in the American Collegiate Athletic Association’s tournament in Pennsylvania.

With a full roster of freshmen and sophomores and the anticipation of next year’s recruits, the women’s volleyball team is looking forward to next season and future championship titles to be earned.
