Siena Pizza and Cannoli opened in January 2020 and survived the massive small business shutdowns during the COVID-19 pandemic to continue serving customers, but also to take care of the family behind the business. Christos Liberatos and his brother Peter opened the shop because the neighborhood in the Financial District did not have any classic pizzerias.

“Me and my brother Peter Basically come from a family that’s been in the restaurant business for over 40 years. We always try to give the best quality. We grew up the Financial District our whole lives and our family has operated restaurants and businesses in the area throughout 9/11, Hurricane Sandy and now through the pandemic, and we look forward to bouncing back along with the community after this,” Libertos said.

The family dreams to one day expand the business and open new locations around the country.

Libertos says Siena strives to serve customers “a really good slice of pizza and provide top quality ingredients at a competitive price.”

With pizza slices starting at just $3.50, even college students can stop in and enjoy the delicious food Siena’s has to offer. Siena Pizza and Cannoli has classic cheese pizza, as well as buffalo chicken, hot honey, vodka and other flavors. They also are known for their cannoli, available with nutella, limoncello, tiramisu and seasonal fillings.

Siena Pizza and Cannoli is located at 14 Rector Street and is open Monday through Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Thursday and Friday throm 11 a.m. to 12 a.m., and Saturdays from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m.
